My New Smell Obsession - Comfort Concentrate's 'Strawberry & Lily Kiss'

I think its safe to say I have an undeniable OBSESSION with smells. I research perfumes on the internet, I go to shops and try them on regularly. In fact, its so much of an obsession its even stretched to Comforter smells!

I was browsing through the comforter section of 'Tesco', unscrewing the lids and smelling various products like a cocaine addict, when I came across a bright pink bottle. My eyes saw the word 'strawberry' and the scent sirens in my head went off.

"Oh. My. God.
Oh. Good. Lawrd.
Oh. Hot. Daymn!"

This is the best smelling stuff I've EVER smelt! It actually smells like strawberrys mixed in with lots of other tropical fruits. Best of all, it was on sale for £2 :] (I soon found out its on sale in Asda for £1!)

I've just washed my clothes with it and the smell is actually sex in scent form. I've hung them up over my radiator so my room now smells like some sort of strawberry Heaven!

If you see this on your shelf in your local supermarket, and although you run the risk of looking like a solvent abuser; SMELL THIS.

Minimal Make-Up Look

So this is my first make-up look... And what else better to begin with than a minimal one? I am a great believer in using make-up to 'enhance' rather than 'cover up' and I've tried to be as simple as possible with this quick look! (By the way, if I look tired its because I haven't slept yet - Damn insomia!)

Just for reference, I am a Mac NC20 so I am quite pale with yellow undertones :]

Face:
- Foundation: Maxfactor Lasting Performance Foundation in 105 'Soft Beige'; I use this on my 'off-days' and want to save my Mac Studio Fluid. Very smooth and good buildable coverage.

- Bronzer: Mac 'Improvise'; I LOVE this bronzer. Its a beautiful peach colour with gold shimmer which you can build very easily. Really good for the fair people in da' house.

- Powder - Mac Loose Powder in NC20; the 'air-brushing' of face powders. It settles my make-up without looking cakey at all. I've just bought my second tub off Ebay!

Eyes:
- Superdrug Eyelash Curlers

- Rimmel 'Extra Super Lash' Mascara in Black; This got rated very highly on Makeupalley.com, is cheap and does the job!

Lips:
- 17 in 'Cashmere Blush' Lipstick; I LOVE this colour. Its a light pinky/baby-red lipstick which you can build up on. I have very pigmented lips and this worked great.

- Rimmel Shock Gloss in 'Clear'; I put two dabs of this in the middle of my lips and spread it out in order to smooth away any chapped-ness from the lipstick. The product stays true to its statement that it makes lips look '3D' and enhances a pout!

Brushes:
- Superdrug 'Blusher Brush'
- E.L.F 'Total Face Brush'

Products used altogether: 9

Again, apart from the MAC products... All of the stuff I used are quite cheap :p Hope you liked it and embrace your natural beauty ladies.

New Look & E.L.F Purchases

I don't know how immovable, lifeless objects can tempt a person... But these babies have been tempting me for nearly two weeks! I've been wanting a pair of ankle boots lately and came across these on the New Look website a few days ago. They've been reduced to £20 and I think they look extremely sexy. So sexy in fact, I bought it :| After seeing all the smaller sizes sold out, I had to whip out Paypal and have these shoes in my life.

I also HAD to take advantage of E.L.F's free UK delivery and bought:

* A nude mineral lipstick in 'Natural Nymph'.
* The 'Studio Blush and Bronzer Compact'
* One 'Studio Complexion Brush'
* One standard 'Eyeshadow Brush'.

The total came to a not-so-shocking £12.50... The price of one thing in MAC :/

Like I always say; BIG UP THE CHEAPNESS!

All of these products scored very high on 'Makeupalley.com' so I'm looking forward to reviewing them.

Until then m'lovlies!

Love & Peace,

The Midnight-Kitten.

'Soap and Glory Hand Food' Review

G'evening people!

ENGLISH WEATHER EH? Wind. Rain. Coldness. Roughness. Runny nose. But isn't it funny how you don't notice ANY of these when you're out in Oxford Street shopping? ;D
I thought it would be good to invest in some good ole' hand cream for this time of year (... And being on a student's budget, I stopped myself from going to 'L'occitane' and purchasing one of their infamous hand creams for £7 *cries*). I went to 'Boots' to do some standard Christmas shopping for the fam' when I saw a 'Buy two get third free' offer on 'Soap and Glory's products. Intrigued. I pounced on the 'Body Care' section.

I'd always liked the cute, 50's pinkified look of the products, but for some reason always had it in my head their products would be a case of 'spend so much money on the packaging because the quality is crap' kinda thing.

So I took a tester smell of their body butter... And DAYMN did it smell good! In fact, this stuff smells uncannily similar to Dior's 'Miss Dior Cherie' perfume. So, I proceeded to buy two jars of the body butter (£10 each) for my mum and boyfriend's mum, and ended up getting the hand cream for free :D (Yes. I spoilt myself during the process. Leave me alone!).

The actual hand cream it self is £4.50 for 125ml which is pretty good I reckon. First and foremost, It smells LUVVVVVVVERLY'. It isn't runny and moisturises for ages. It honestly (and forgive me for sounding like a T.V advert here...) does leave your hands feeling very soft and smooth! My nails seem to appear alot stronger and my hands look alot more clearer. The smell is quite strong so if you put this on during a bus ride, people near you will probably get a whiff... And will counteract the people that have B.O problems on your local 453 or 159.

RESULT: Keeps hands moisturised. Nails and hands appear in better condition. Smells gorgeously sweet. Altogether proves you don't have to splash out for great quality! = 5/5!

Love & Peace,

The Midnight-Kitten.
